The Philippe Model Paris brand has its roots in the creative genius of the French designer and artist of the same name who has earned himself a leading position amongst the great names of fashion in the world. The designer became passionate from a young age about designing and at the age of 12, he was already making his first models of shoes and hats. At age 22, Philippe launched his brand working with couturiers in French fashion such as Jean-Paul Gaultier, Claude Montana and Paulette.
Philippe's creations represent the perfect encounter between creativity and expertise, earning him the award of best craftsman of France in 1981. He later served as Artistic Director of fashion houses of the time, such as Kenzo and Dior. His creations can be seen in collections of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, the National Gallery of Australia and other major museums in France.
